The player
Built around the first frame.
Fovea starts with Apple's own playback engine for the smoothest picture and the lowest latency, and switches to a compatibility engine only for formats Apple TV can't play natively. MKV, AVI and friends. You just press play.
Seek that actually seeks.
Skip through provider streams that were never meant to be scrubbed. Fovea reconnects in the background and holds the last frame while it does.
Never a dead end.
If a stream fails, Fovea moves to the next source for the same title on its own, and remembers which ones are healthy.

Switch language and subtitle tracks from the transport row. English audio is preferred by default.

Most providers allow one stream at a time. Fovea closes the old one before it opens the next, so you never see "already playing".

Privacy
Your credentials never leave your device.
Your provider password lives in the Apple Keychain. Your catalogue is encrypted at rest. Nothing is logged, uploaded or proxied through anyone's server. There is no Fovea account and no analytics. It's your subscription. Fovea is just the window.
